Roma Cultural and Media Center "Barikanipe "– is a space where creativity, identity, and community come together. Founded in Skopje, our mission is to preserve and promote Roma culture while empowering new generations through media, art, and education.
We believe in the power of storytelling and cultural expression to break stereotypes, challenge discrimination, and build bridges of understanding. Through exhibitions, workshops, performances, and media projects, we give voice to Roma history and contemporary life, creating visibility and pride for our community.
At Barikanipe, we work with young people, artists, journalists, and activists to develop skills, strengthen cultural identity, and open opportunities. Our projects range from promoting the Romani language and traditions, to producing media content, to commemorating Roma history and the Holocaust.
Our vision is a society where Roma culture is celebrated as an integral part of European and global heritage.
Our mission is to educate, create, and inspire – building a future of dignity, equality, and recognition for Roma people everywhere.

Ромски Културен и Медија Центар " Бариканипе " – е простор каде што креативноста, идентитетот и заедништвото се спојуваат. Основан во Скопје, нашата мисија е да ја зачуваме и промовираме ромската култура, додека ги оснажуваме новите генерации преку медиум, уметност и образование.
Веруваме во моќта на раскажувањето приказни и културното изразување за рушење на стереотипи, борба против дискриминација и градење мостови на разбирање. Преку изложби, работилници, изведби и медиумски проекти, му даваме глас на ромското минато и современиот живот, создавајќи видливост и гордост за нашата заедница.
Во Бариканипе работиме со млади луѓе, уметници, новинари и активисти за развој на вештини, зајакнување на културниот идентитет и отворање нови можности. Нашите проекти опфаќаат промоција на ромскиот јазик и традиции, медиумско производство и одбележување на ромската историја и Холокаустот.
Нашата визија е општество во кое ромската култура се слави како составен дел од европското и светското наследство.
